Light, high and the grip is good. I bought this for a light boot for deep snow and walking the dog, and researched many boots looking for good traction for slippery sidewalks. At first I felt a bit raised while wearing it (almost like a higher heel feeling) as the sole feels thick and high somehow, but once I trusted that it wasn't slipping, I liked it. Warm and good grips. Only complaint is that it's not just a 'put your foot in and go' boot, like a bulkier felt insole style boot allows one to do, so I need both hands to pull the boot on. Hardly an inconvenience but for quick doggy potty breaks, the only alternative with such good soles was a heavy winter boot. Have worn this in -27 Celcius weather with a wool sock and felt warm. Good sole for gripping on ice. Light to walk in and fashionable too. Highly recommend.
