This is a beautifully designed light fixture. I have yet to hang it. It came with more than adequate wiring and chain for the 9 1/2 foot tall ceilings in its intended location. The arms actually fold together for more compact shipping. The gold coloring really only resembles varnish roughly painted over silver to give it a uniquely light golden finish. I would be very careful cleaning it as the finish does appear rather "fragile". Other than that, I am under the probable assumption that it will continue to shine long after I am gone.I purchased this chandelier to hang over my dining room table and I am very pleased with it. It's beautiful! It is not a lightweight, flimsy thing - it is well made and sturdy. Gives a nice warm glow with plenty of light.After looking at more than a hundred ceiling fixtures online and in stores, I was convinced that this one would add just the touch of subdued beauty to our dining nook that I was seeking -- and it does. The price was half of that at another big name store and I notice today that the price has been reduced by another $20. I bought the one listed as color 29.5 which is a pale silvery gold. I have both gold and silver trim in my home so this blends in beautifully.Don't know what was going on, but the condition said used, but when we got it the chandelier looks brand new and was still in the plastic wrap. It was only $46! This is the second one of these we have purchased and really like it. It is easy to put up, and looks great when it is done. We like the downward pointing fixtures because it doesn't trap as much dust.We bought this light for a spec home we built. Bought it because it matched the 5 lightLiked the look of it in my dining room.However, the paint/finish chipped off in two spots. I have a photo...see below. I don't want to return it. Please send me some touch up paint.Love the chandelier. Good quality and gives great light.This chandelier is beautiful.
