Recommended for variable light on aquariumsThis light fits my 20 gallon tank perfectly. I love the different light settings. White for day time and blue for night time. Both of these light settings also have different brightness settings.I was worried when I brought this it could easily fall into the tank, but the way the adjustable brackets work, that work was squashed. I plan to buy another for my 10 gallon.Better than expected. Has multiple settings for different levels of brightness. Blue and white lights can be controlled independently.Replacing the same light that I had purchase a couple of years ago. The pre-existing plug was mal me, which plugged directly into the new light’s female connection - very convenient. Love how bright it is. Didn’t realize how dim the old light was until I plugged-in the new one. Can’t really comment on the efficiency or water resistance as I just plugged it in now. Had to rate it, though.Bought this in 2017 and it lasted me till 2022! Finally gave out on me but it was a great ride! Highly recommendThe perfect light for a low-tech aquarium set-up but strong enough to grow higher-maintenance plants with proper fertilizers and substrate.Really bright made fish tank look great has multiplayer settings for brightness which is perfect. It's defiantly better than the one that came with my tank, HOWEVER.... 5 of the 90 leds are not working out of the box.. 5 of the white leds (one small section) I was going to return it, but I couldn't be bothered the time it takes for it to get there and then get another one back I'll deal with it hopefully no other ones burnout....UPDATE:So after using the light for a few hours the 5 led's did start to function, and have been working fine ever since. I was contacted by NICREW regarding this problem, they offered to replace it, or refund but, I chose to keep this unit after being told that if there are any problems within a year they will replace it. I was happy that NICREW contacted me regarding this, I would buy and will by here again.Lose connection with the power adapter pin that connects with the lighting unit. Tried getting touch with the manufacturer to return it but keep getting the run around with needing video proof of what is wrong with the light. The light basically dims itself so low that you can't tell if it's turned on. After nudging the light back into the lighting unit, you can then get the full spectrum and then a min later it dims down again.Very frustrating cause I've purchased 2 units and 1 one of them works with no issues. Not sure why the manufacturer would not send me a replacement for a defective unit.Good light (in terms of color and intensity) for 20gal Fresh Water lightly planted tank . However design is not good, as the extendable legs are too loose and would never work for the max tank size as advertised. This will only work up maybe up to 14"-15". When on the tank even lightest touch will move the light one way or the other. So need to apply some electrical tape on the extendable legs or something else to make it stable. Also the ballast is running way too hot for a plastic enclosed unit, so watch for that. In terms of light it may be too much for a small 8 gal or so cube tank or a nano and that amount of light may contribute to an excessive algae growth. So its best to put it on timers for less then 8hrs per day. Or turn on when you are enjoying your tank and keep the light off the rest of the day, leaving it to an ambient light only for that time. This will not work for a Salt water reef tanks because the Kelvin color is below 12k and this will not make corals look as good as you would want.Ordered 2 for my 48"x24" 55 gallon tank. Received themt 2 days later. WOW, what a difference these make over my existing lighting (single strips of 12 LEDs each, x2). These Nicrew lights make the entire tank pop, and the colours of the fish stand out much more intently. I'm planning to go to a planted tank soon, so i'm hoping these will put off the spectrum of light that plants need. I couldn't find anywhere the colour temp, but it looks to me that its in the 6500-7000 range.Plus with the rocker switch for power, you can leave the switch to ON and then use a timer to control your tank lighting - i'm all for automation! The overall build quality and appearance looks very good. I'm very happy with this purchase - definitely recommend! The attached photo of the tank shows the new Nicrew light on the right, with my existing single LED bar on the left. I'd say its at least 2-3 times brighter.
